Cellar Operator - The Four Graces

Job Description:

At the Four Graces we aim to make rich, complex wines that showcase the quality of our fruit and expression of our vineyard sites. We source grapes from our three estate vineyards situated in different AVAs within the Willamette Valley. In addition to working with a diverse set of vineyard sites, the Four Graces utilizes aspects of both traditional techniques and modern technology in winemaking, offering potential for plenty of learning opportunities. We're a small, passionate, dedicated team and we strive to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and wine quality.

Summary: The Four Graces is seeking a full-time cellar worker. The Four Graces is dedicated to making premium Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay in the Willamette Valley. This position will be an integral part of a small team. This position will assist in all crush operations, barrel work, wine movement, bottling preparation, cellar sanitation, cellar organization and special projects. This position may also provide assistance in the lab depending on qualifications/experience.

Roles and Responsibilities
•  Performs wine transfers, including racking, filling barrels, and blending
•  Operates crush equipment during harvest
•  Assists with bottling
•  Executes cellar work orders
•  Helps to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient winery
•  May assist in the training and direction of less skilled workers
•  Assist in establishing and maintaining all FFWS quality management systems (QMS) and HACCP protocols as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•  Must be reliable, punctual, and engaged
•  Accurately follow and complete work instructions
•  The ability to work both independently and as a team member
•  Understand and comply with all safety requirements
•  Perform the physical labor necessary - lift up to 50 lbs, work in various temperatures
•  Ability to read, write and speak English
•  Committed to continuous improvement of winery operations
•  Able to work a flexible schedule as needed, including extra hours during harvest
•  Experience operating winery equipment

Education & Experience:
•  Minimum of one years' experience in a cellar/lab position
•  Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
•  Candidates must be organized and detail oriented
•  Must be 21 years of age or older
