Summary

Huneeus Vintners is searching for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is a passionate self-starter looking to contribute to a team focused on continuous improvement and a desire to develop professionally. Under the direction of the Controller, and working alongside the Senior Accountant, this role will play a key role on our Finance team in ensuring timely close of our accounting ledgers, preparing account analyses and wearing multiple hats to support our general department needs.

Essential Duties:

Responsibilities
•  Maintain and manage the AP platform daily, ensuring all invoices are uploaded, coded correctly, approved and processed in a timely manner.
•  Act as key player in our month-end close process including creating and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations and performing expense analyses.
•  Manage the company's credit card program and employees expense reporting platform. Review and process expense reports and receipts submitted by employees.
•  Apply payments to customer accounts and maintain the accounts receivable aging report. Create a monthly aging analysis report and send to relevant parties within the organization.
•  Maintain W-9s and prepare 1099s on an annual basis.
•  Assist with onboarding new employees in the AP platform and expense reimbursement platform
•  Process electronic ACH, wires and credit card payments.
•  Oversee dry Goods Purchase Order (PO) Management and tracking PO spend.
•  Assist with year-end audit by providing external auditors with supporting documentation relevant to this role.
•  Provide other Ad Hoc support to the Finance team as required.


Qualifications

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
•  2+ years of accounting experience desirable.
•  Proficiency in Excel required.
•  Attention to detail, good organizational skills and strong analytical skills are required.
•  Organized and manages time efficiently.
•  Ability to work independently and well with groups.
•  Communicates well across all departments and meets deadlines.
•  Thrives in in a fast-paced work environment and loves wearing multiple hats.
•  Experience with accounting software a plus.
