Operations Manager
Griffo Distillery seeks an Operations Assistant Manager to oversee operations, manage inventory, and ensure quality control. This hands-on, dynamic role requires a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys creating efficient systems.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop product supply chains, from sourcing raw materials to finished goods.
- Maintain detailed production logs and ensure adherence to all quality control standards.
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive inventory management system, including tracking stock levels, managing ordering, and minimizing waste.
- Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely deliveries and accurate order fulfillment.
- Lead the hiring, training, and management of part-time production staff when needed.
- Provide hands-on support during bottling operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control.
- Implement and maintain onsite quality control procedures, conducting regular checks and adhering to strict quality standards.
- Analyze production data to optimize production volumes, rates, and long-term brand production needs.
- Manage the production calendar, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and custom distilling orders.
- Collaborate closely with the Custom Partnership Sales Manager, serving as the point of contact for client inquiries related to production capabilities and plans.
- Liaise with the Director of Sales to integrate growth targets and sales volumes into the production schedule and inventory sourcing.
- Manage all vendor relationships, placing orders and negotiating contracts.
- Generate monthly reports on inventory levels and production performance.
- Provide additional support in production of spirits as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the spirits, food or beverage industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong mathematical abilities and a commitment to data-driven decision making.
- Ability to learn technical concepts, spreadsheet work, and analysis techniques quickly with ability to execute.
- Physically fit and comfortable with a fast-paced, hands-on environment, including standing and lifting.
- A true team player with a flexible and independent work ethic.
- A self-starter with a passion for creating and managing efficient systems.
Compensation and Benefits:
Griffo Distillery offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience. We are a passionate team dedicated to crafting high-quality spirits and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Salary range $70,000-$80,000 depending on experience.
