We want to continue to build on that spirit by adding a talented Staff Accountant, Revenue to our team. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for owning the financial support for retail accounting including DTC, Wholesale and Export sales across multiple corporate entities. In addition to these general accounting duties, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for producing KPI reporting, monthly financial analysis, dashboards, and assisting the Controller and CFO in other ad hoc financial reporting.

What we will ask you to do:
Export Sales/Support and Wholesale billing
1. Coordinate with Head of Export and supply chain personnel in annual budgeting and forecasting process to ensure adequate supply exists to meet forecasted demand.
2. Communicate with Export customers to ensure proper billing and paperwork are processed timely.
3. Coordinate with Supply Chain personnel in proper labeling, shipping, and processing of wine shipments. This includes working with outside vendors in labeling requirements including internal/external country specific information, Federal filings and customs paperwork.
4. Ensure proper billing of our Wholesale account base.
5. Prepare all other miscellaneous revenue billings.
Retail Accounting
1. Oversee the financial accounting, reporting and analysis activities associated with our retail entities.
2. Assist in the management of the retail merchandise inventory including new part set up, and reconciliation of inventory balances with the Cost Accountant
3. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations.
4. Cash management of all credit card accounts.
5. Prepare Annual retail budget templates
6. Meet Monthly with DTC Team to review MTD activity against Budget. Provide commentary and support to variances.
Financial Planning and Analysis
1. Produce ad hoc reports and financial modeling as needed.
2. Provide analysis on trends, competitive sets, and potential opportunities.
3. Develop applicable KPIs and reporting dashboards for team performance drivers
4. Participate in the month end close as needed.
5. Support the Finance teams as needed with fiscal audits and tax/compliance reporting, including preparing schedules and providing documentation
What you should bring to the table:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field; accounting degree strongly preferred.
• Advanced degree, CPA or CMA a plus.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in general accounting required.
• Wine industry preferred but not required.
• Strong Excel skills required, advanced highly desirable.
• AMS software experience a plus.
• Team Player. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, able to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
• Able to perform quality work with accuracy and high attention to detail.
