The guest-facing Maintenance Technician is a skilled professional responsible for maintaining the physical integrity and operational efficiency of a property while also providing exceptional customer service to guests. Job Summary: The individual for this position under the direction and leadership of the facilities maintenance organization will work towards attaining maintenance goals and company objectives. Carry out skilled technical duties involving repair, maintenance, replacement, installation of all facility equipment and systems. Carry out maintenance activities to an appreciably complicated level in the area of electrical and mechanical system safety. Multiple tasks in this sense may include repair, maintenance, alteration, installation, fabrication, construction which require utilization of skills in problem solving, teamwork, communication, giving attention to detail and abiding by safety guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Electrical
Fuse replacement.
Load testing.
Fan installation.
Light switch installation.
Outlet installation.
Low voltage landscape lighting wiring.
• Irrigation
Solenoid replacement and cleaning.
Emitter replacement (Specific GPH Emitter for specific plants).
Pop-up sprinkler replacement and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Hunter Irrigation control platform.
• Pool Certification
Certified in Pool Chemical application. Cleaning pool and spa filters.
Pool and Spa pump troubleshooting and cleaning.
• Carpentry and Painting
Addressing woodwork elements such as trims, molding, or damaged frames before painting.
Start-to-finish process on prepping, filling, sanding, and painting.
Drywall replacement and or patching, start to finish (mudding, taping, sanding to smoothness to match, and texturing).
• Plumbing
Ability to troubleshoot and fix anything involving the following:
Complete replacement for toilet (Tank, bowl, flush handle, flapper, fill valve, siphon, flange, and wax ring.)
Drain clogs or cleaning
Small or Large pipe replacement
Snaking or flushing out systems
Elkay water station filter change and troubleshooting
Different Conduit knowledge replacement (copper, schedule 40, Schedule 80, etc.)
• Landscaping
Solid understanding of horticulture, exterior design principles, and seasonal planning to create functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
Plant knowledge.
Soil science.
Planting techniques.
Pruning and maintenance.
Pest and Disease Management (IPM).
Elements of Design.
Space planning.
Hardscaping.
Irrigation.
Lighting.

Climate Awareness.

Water conservation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Able to multi-task and handle high pressure situations with limited supervision and meet deadlines.
• Effectively communicate to site personnel, vendors, OEM's, and management.
• Problem-solve and adjust to changing timelines
• Must be able to work in a team environment and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company's values of exhibiting the highest quality standards in all endeavors
• Climb 10 ft ladder, stairs, occasionally lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime, particularly during harvest.
Experience and Qualifications:
• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience with maintenance principles
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Basic electrical 1ph and 3ph, control wiring and motor inverters. Residential and industrial (pmp panels and controls)
• Lay out and install piping. (pvc, copper and steel) basic plumbing technics.
• Some engine mechanical knowledge a plus.
• Basic construction, concrete work and wood finishing.
• Operate and read calibration and measuring instruments.
• Welding basics a plus.
• Read plans and schematics, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic.
