Tasting Room Manager

Full-Time | $25–$30/hour DOE

About the Role
A highly regarded, family-owned Sonoma winery is seeking a dynamic Tasting Room Manager to oversee daily operations and hospitality for its tasting room. This role is an integral part of the team, responsible for leading a respected tasting program known for its hospitality and guest experience.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a small, dynamic team, balancing management responsibilities with active on-floor hosting to ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities
•  Lead daily tasting room operations to meet revenue goals, grow the wine club, and maintain the highest level of service.

•  Oversee daily business functions including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and reporting.

•  Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff; foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

•  Develop and implement tasting menus and guest experiences.

•  Manage staff scheduling, meetings, and communications.

•  Ensure POS systems are functioning properly and troubleshoot as needed.

•  Provide consistent on-floor management presence to support staff and guests.

•  Maintain a clean, welcoming, and orderly tasting environment.

•  Conduct inventory management and reconciliation of wine, merchandise, and food items.

•  Track and report on sales, incentives, and wine club metrics.

•  Collaborate with leadership on sales and membership strategies; represent the winery at industry events as needed.


Requirements
•  Previous tasting room leadership experience preferred (Manager, Assistant Manager, or Lead).

•  Strong people management and customer service skills.

•  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

•  Weekend, holiday, and event availability required.

•  Must be 21 years or older and able to lift 40 lbs.

Compensation
•  $25–$30/hour DOE
