Overshine Wine Co. is a Sonoma County-based winery founded by proprietor David Drummond and winemaker Sam Bilbro, born from a shared passion for California’s diverse landscapes, cultural melting pot, and vibrant entrepreneurial spirit. Inspired by the golden light of the West Coast and a love for music, the partnership blends Drummond’s deep California roots with Bilbro’s expertise as a fourth-generation vintner. Overshine’s mission is to be a welcoming space where the intersection of wine, music, and community fosters a bright and resilient future for the California wine industry.
We’re looking for someone to lead our tastings with a mix of polish and genuine personality. At Overshine, we’re about "California soul" and that means the wine is serious, but the vibe is approachable.
The Daily Flow
- Host tastings that feel like a great conversation: warm, professional, and entirely your own.
- Share our wines and what we’re about. No stiff scripts, just engaging with people who want to learn.
- Talk confidently about styles and varietals. If you have the foundation, we’ll handle the deep-dive training.
- Help guests find the wines they love and grow our wine club through natural, real-time rapport.
- Keep the space dialed with set-up, stocking, cleaning, and closing.
- Help out with private events and tastings that lean into our roots.
A Plus
It helps if you’re into the atmosphere we’re building. We play a lot of soul, hip-hop, jazz, reggae, R&B and much more on vinyl, so if you know your way around a turntable and actually love the music, you’ll fit right in.
What We’re Looking For
- Saturday and Sunday availability is required, along with a mix of weekday shifts and special events.
- Friendly, reliable, and comfortable engaging with all kinds of guests.
- An interest in wine and a desire to learn. You don’t need a background in wine to apply. We’re happy to train anyone who has the right energy and knows how to take care of people, regardless of what industry you’re coming from!
- Must be 21+ and able to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay plus tips and sales/club commission.
- Hands-on training in wine and hospitality, with a focus on unique varietals and sustainable practices.
- A supportive, creative environment where your input actually matters.
- Employee discounts on wine.
