Lead Cook

Silver Oak Cellars

Oakville, CA

Job Description:

Silver Oak Cellars is seeking a passionate and talented Lead Cook to join our acclaimed culinary team and help shape the future of wine country dining. This is more than a job—it's a chance to work side-by-side with a James Beard Award–winning chef, crafting unforgettable hospitality experiences that celebrate the bounty of the land.

Imagine creating seasonal, locally inspired menus that highlight ingredients from small farms, while cultivating a vibrant estate culinary garden filled with herbs and vegetables. You'll be at the heart of our farm-to-table philosophy, bringing it to life with every dish.

What you'll do:
•  Collaborate with a visionary Executive Chef and a passionate culinary team
•  Be part of a destination that’s redefining wine country cuisine
•  Grow your skills in garden-to-plate cooking and sustainable sourcing
•  Engage directly with guests in immersive food and wine experiences

What we’re looking for:
We’re seeking a driven and dedicated culinary professional who’s hungry to learn and grow. You should bring a solid foundation of commercial kitchen experience—ideally with time in fine dining—and a passion for mastering every station, from prep to pastry. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, stay organized under pressure, and have the confidence to engage with guests about food and wine.

This role is perfect for someone who is hardworking, adaptable, and excited to deliver remarkable hospitality experiences. Flexibility is key: evenings, weekends, and travel between winery locations are part of the experience. Above all, we’re looking for someone with the drive, humility, and curiosity to keep learning while helping us deliver remarkable food and wine experiences.

Why join us?
Across the wineries of Silver Oak Cellars, we believe food and wine create connections that last a lifetime. As Lead Cook, you’ll play a vital role in bringing those moments to life, working with estate-grown ingredients and collaborating with a talented team.

You’ll also have the unique opportunity to help build a new culinary destination in wine country—a place where innovation, sustainability, and hospitality come together.

This is an opportunity to grow your culinary skills, express your creativity and be part of a legacy of excellence. This position is a regular full-time role eligible for the company's benefits including, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, time off, and 401(k). Women, LGBTQ, and BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The Company is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
