Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor

Job Description:

Position Summary:
Responsible for supervising the transportation and warehousing activities of packaging materials, WIP inventories, and finished goods. Ensures supplies, and products are processed through the ERP system efficiently and accurately including all inventory transactions and the cycle of order fulfilment. Manages Mix-Riddle planning and inventory to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of inventories timed to meet Disgorge requirements. In compliance with Pernod Ricard quality guidelines, oversees the quality assurance of incoming packaging materials and finished case goods. Responsible for adhering to all requirements of PRW USA’s Integrated Management System.

Key Responsibilities

People and Compliance
•  Provide coaching and direction to warehousing staff and material handlers.
•  Assists Production Supervisor (MN) with training requirements.
•  Assists the Operations Planning Manager in the management and compliance of company QSEFS programs, initiatives, and policies.
•  Responsible for all distribution and transportation work instructions and related on the job training of staff.
•  Generates, analyses, and reports all distribution related monthly KPIs.
•  Monitors, streamlines, and executes PRW USA shipping & receiving, and transportation processes, procedures, and reporting.
•  Support PRW USA’s Train the Trainer program for forklift operator certification.

Logistics and Warehousing
•  Creates and manages finished goods distribution shipping schedules from PRW USA manufacturing facilities to PRW USA storage facilities, PR USA 3rd party warehouses, and logistics scheduling.
•  Liaise with PR USA Supply Chain and 3rd party warehouses to ensure compliance of PRW USA export shipments (production, documentation, re-work, etc.).
•  Responsible for the management, and coordination of transportation for all PRW USA WIP inventories and packaging materials.
•  Responsible for effective warehouse space management including labelling, storing, and organizing products and supplies in assigned locations.
•  Creates and submits monthly transfer plans to support disgorge schedule.
•  Maintains budgetary freight costs and transportation rates.
•  Responsible for general housekeeping of assigned areas, and annual deep cleaning requirements.
•  Provides winery and warehousing forklift and material handling support, as needed.

Inventory and Quality Control
•  Monitors Winery, warehouse, and Co-Packer inventory levels of finished goods and packaging materials and schedules and facilitates shipments/transfers accordingly to meet bottling plans.
•  Responsible for managing all Tirage and Riddled inventories including long term and short-term storage plans, transfer scheduling, and logistics coordination.
•  Supports the tracking and reconciliation of Tirage and Riddle inventories with production and winemaking teams (ERP, WIPS, databases).
•  Enters shipping & receiving, material status, and transactional data into production software systems (JDE E1, DSI, US Bioterrorism Log, databases).
•  Ensures all scheduled quality assurance checks of incoming packaging supplies are carried out and raises all quality concerns with the Operations Planning Manager and Supply Chain team.
•  Responds appropriately and timely to inventory discrepancies, performs investigations, and organizes problem solving teams & corrective actions.
•  Administers monthly cycle counts and year end physical inventories and works closely with the finance team to process all transactions/adjustments.
•  Assists with the coordination of quarantined inventories and disposition of obsolete materials.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:
•  Proficiency in JD Edwards/ERP software
•  Microsoft Office Suite
•  5 years’ experience in warehousing and distribution
•  5 years’ experience operating forklift (clamp, standard forks)
•  Knowledge of inventory control processes with strong ability to analyze data, understand connections, and investigate discrepancies
•  Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to self-manage priorities, workflow and meet tight deadlines
•  Team player with ability to negotiate with intra/inter organizational partners
•  Exhibit versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work with changing priorities with enthusiasm
•  Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and high professional standards

Desirable:
•  Business experience in wine industry
•  Knowledge of packaging and documentation requirements for the exportation of wines and spirits

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale offered for this position is $80,000- $85,000 annually. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. The Company reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
