SUMMARY
The onsite HR/Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll and the maintenance of HRIS for a workforce of 300 or more employees, utilizing ADP Workforce Now and Pago systems. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with federal, state and local wage and hour regulations, as well as HR best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review and analyze all data, including payroll taxes, adjustments, OT & wage changes for accuracy and compliance with established company, State Federal and local wage and hour regulations, and HR best practices
Assist VP of Finance and Director of HR with 401(k) Plan Management with regard to employee deductions & testing
Communicate with and train Managers and Supervisors regarding their responsibilities and required procedures within ADP Workforce Now
Auditing and manual entry of assignments, hours, and piece-work in Pago timekeeping software
Ensure accurate adjustments and pay out of accrued PTO and sick hours
Communicate with managers and supervisors on hour and wage issues arising during payroll processing.
Review and process garnishment orders. Communicate as needed with the affected employee and agencies requesting orders.
Provide excellent “customer service” to employees with questions regarding their paychecks, benefit deductions, their employment, etc.
Assist as required all department supervisor/ managers with their queries on payroll and time clock matters with a professional and can-do attitude
Create and provide payroll related reports to internal managers, upper management, state, federal and local agencies and auditors as requested
Maintain time and attendance records, payroll backup for each biweekly payroll
Stay updated on all Federal, State and local wage and hour laws
Communicate all payroll software issues and concerns with ADP representative as soon as possible
Ensure delivery of pay checks to appropriate departments
Responsible for accurate data entry and maintenance in ADP for new hires, changes to employee’s employment, personal and pay profiles
Train new managers on using Time and Attendance, setting up new employees on time clock and how to use the ADP’s “My Team” program
Maintain time and attendance records, employee hard copy personnel files
Maintain compliant personnel files.
Ensure compliant completion of all I-9 forms and conduct yearly audits.
Assist in the employee onboarding experience including HRIS entry and coordinating pre-employment screenings
Respond to employment verifications as needed.
Assist with all benefit billing and maintaining accurate records and reporting
Maintain accurate vacation and sick time records
Any and all HR and Payroll duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
At least four years of experience in a payroll role for a large company
Experience with an ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS is highly desired
Experience with ADP Reporting
Has certification in Human Resources education or equivalent experience related employment that would prepare one for the responsibilities of this position
Ability to communicate proficiently in English
Solid knowledge of wage and hour laws for various industries, including agriculture
Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise discretion
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Has a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent math and analytical skills
Exceptional organization, time management and verbal/written communication skills
CPP certification is a plus, but not required
Bilingual is a plus, but not required
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit for long periods, bend, twist, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Fine motor skills needed for frequent computer usage and handwritten tasks
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards, meeting qualitative and /or quantitative productivity standards
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

COMPETATIVE SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $82,000/year (Depending on Experience)
