Title: Supply Chain Planner
Classification: Salary, Exempt, Bonus Potential in addition to salary
Location: Boisset Offices, St. Helena
Position Summary:
The key function of the Supply Chain Planner is to maintain the bottling schedule for the Boisset Collection, ensuring that it aligns with demand. The role requires close partnership with stakeholders across the organization including Winemaking, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Sales. Given the high visibility of this role, there is ample opportunity for upward mobility for an exceptional candidate.
Strong leadership, clear and timely communication, diplomacy, and acute attention to detail are critical for success in this role. The position requires a high level of accountability, precision, and adaptability in a dynamic production environment.
Essential Functions:
Production:
• Maintain the bottling schedule in SmartSheet for the Boisset Collection, working closely with stakeholders and facilitating bottling meetings.
• Maintain executive dashboard.
• Communicate changes to the bottling schedule and production plan as needed.
• Coordinate completion of New Product Development forms and obtain CEO and CFO approvals.
• Set up new items in ERP (Microsoft Business Central).
• Serve as Smartsheet system administrator.
• Collaborate with Marketing on packaging changes.
• Coordinate special projects with stakeholders; Manage scope, timeline, and cost considerations.
• Coordinate bottling timelines with Compliance.
Inventory & Forecasting:
• Maintain 5-year production plan in collaboration with FP&A.
• Provide Sales, Marketing, and key stakeholders with current and projected inventory reports.
• Monitor ongoing sales volume and run rates to ensure depletions justify bottling activity.
• Collaborate with Sales, Wine Club management, and others to facilitate inventory allocations.
Additional Functions:
• Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. Participate in safety training and report unsafe conditions or work practices.
• Contribute to team efforts and perform additional duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including ERP (Business Central).
• Proficient with Smartsheet and PowerBI (preferred but not required).
• Wine industry (or consumer packaged goods) experience preferred but not required.
• Wine industry compliance knowledge preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
• Light physical activity typical of administrative tasks.
• Manual dexterity sufficient for handling items and working with fingers.
• May require lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
• Adequate vision (close and distant) and focus adjustment.
• Sufficient hearing for phone and office-level communication.
Work Environment:
• Indoor and outdoor work environments with variable lighting, temperatures, and ventilation.
• Exposure to weather conditions, fumes, and chemicals as part of production settings.
• Moderate to high noise levels typical of machinery and equipment (PPE provided).
Schedule and Travel Requirements:
• Regular business schedule: Monday through Friday.
• Hybrid role (3 days in office per week).
• Position does not require overnight travel.
