Under general supervision, this position is responsible for installations, repairs, preventative, and emergency maintenance on various winemaking and facility equipment. The technician is also tasked with performing repairs and maintenance on support equipment, buildings, landscapes, fixtures, and systems.

ESSENTINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Perform mechanical tasks, such as lubrication, filter replacing, and mechanical repairs to pumps, compressors, HVAC, and other equipment.
•  Install, troubleshoot, and repair winery equipment, which may include welding, electrical, plumbing, and machining.
•  Review service requests for repairs and maintenance, determine nature, and recommend/perform appropriate solutions.
•  Use technical publications to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
•  Conduct limited technical inspections on winery equipment and perform required preventative maintenance actions.
•  Perform predictive maintenance on winery equipment.
•  Perform corrective maintenance on winery equipment.
•  Assist in the movement of materials and equipment as required.
•  Assure safety standards that are used to comply with all company, city, state, and federal guidelines.
•  Perform any other task as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
•  Be a self-starter and work with limited supervision.
•  Have good communication skills.
•  Be able to read and write English and perform mathematical calculations.
•  Be able to read and understand technical manuals and publications.
•  Be able to read various types of gauges, meters and operate test equipment.
•  Be able to consistently prioritize safety in the workplace
•  Must be able to work overtime as necessary during Harvest season, including weekends and evenings.

BACKGROUND:
•  A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in winery or related industrial maintenance as a Maintenance Mechanic, or equivalent technical training, is required.
•  Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems-including air, vacuum, fluid transfer, and refrigeration systems-is essential.
•  The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, consistent follow-through, and effective time management skills.
•  The position requires the ability to work overhead and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
•  A valid California driver's license is also necessary.

Wage Transparency:

The base pay for this role ranges from $27.00- $33.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
