Rack & Riddle Custom Wine Services, the #1 custom sparkling wine producer in the United States, is seeking a Director of FP&A to our team.
Reporting directly to the CFO and working in partnership with the Controller and Director of Cost & Analysis, the Director of FP&A will provide reporting and insights to drive strategic and fact-based decision making across the organization. This role will have a high level of visibility across the organization and will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis to all business stakeholders including management, executive team, board of directors and ownership.
Essential Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Ownership of accurate and timely monthly corporate financial reporting and analytics to the management team, executive team, board of directors, and lending institutions.
Partner closely with sales, marketing and operations to identify actionable opportunities for EBITDA improvements to deliver financial targets of ownership.
Develop and maintain BI dashboards for management to report KPIs and financial metrics, ensuring data accuracy and user adoption to drive fact-based business decision making.
Establish enterprise valuation model including scenario analysis.
Collaborate with sales & marketing teams to review and analyze third-party party data to identify market and partnership opportunities.
Financial Planning:
Lead the annual budget and long-range planning cycles by developing and executing detailed project plan in collaboration with the Direct of Cost & Analysis with specific ownership of:
Commercial demand planning including go to market and pricing strategies in alignment with core growth strategies, utilizing market data available, and partnering with sales & marketing leadership team.
Investment analysis to include capital requirements and return assessment.
Department level operating expense plan to support strategic growth initiatives.
Balance sheet and cash flow modeling to include capital planning.
Dynamic scenario modeling and analysis.
Present key insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team and prepare materials to be present to private equity ownership and the board of directors.
Establish process to continuously identify, analyze and report risks and opportunities to financial plan to be formally communicated to management and ownership on a monthly basis.
Systems & Information:
Develop master data to support reporting and planning software to enhance business intelligence and transparency of key performance indicators.
Design, create and deploy business intelligence dashboards for functional stakeholders.
Integrate AI technologies, where appropriate, to enhance efficiencies and analytics in reporting, planning, and data analysis.
Work with accounting, IT, and operational teams to ensure processes and transactions drive accurate and timely data for reporting and planning.
Requirements
The successful candidate’s background includes:
8+ years of relevant experience in comparable role or progressive
Bachelor's degree in business, economics, and/or accounting required
Demonstrated experience working in a private equity-backed business or strong understanding of private equity reporting structures.
DataRails or similar tier BI/reporting/planning experience with system implementation experience strongly preferred.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, with a demonstrated ability to distill and communicate complex information across the organization effectively.
Strong technology skills, including Excel mastery, ability to write reports in ERP environment (NetSuite experience strongly preferred), and comfortable working with large data sets.
Excellent knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Advanced knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, commercial planning, and product-line profitability analysis.
Infinite curiosity with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills focusing on root cause analysis.
