We have an exciting opportunity for a Front Desk Assistant (Host) to join the MacRostie Winery hospitality team! Reporting to the Sr. Hospitality and Events Manager, this role is engaged to maximize seating and provide world class hospitality and service. Responsibilities include managing the front desk and all associated duties, including but not limited to: greeting, seating, breaks, restocking, etc. This role is based in Healdsburg, CA and is a full-time, non-exempt position, working Thursday - Monday 40hrs. / week and the incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, PTO, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least two years of hospitality experience, preferably in a high volume setting
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent on the job training/experience or education
- Must be detailed orientated and organized
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technological computational skills for reservation, POS, MS Office Suite, and CRM platforms, and in data entry and collection
- Exceptional customer service skills to assist with customer relationship management
- Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assign seating and arrange floor
- Oversee all functions of Front Desk
- Responsible for Estate House pickups
- Maintain a clean environment both in the front of the house as well as back of the house
- Daily inventory of wines used on site as samples
- Verify daily tasting appointments via phone call to guest; responsible for Front Desk phone during business hours
- Communicate MacRostie hospitality standards to guests
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the history of the Brand and physical property
- Guest remediation as necessary
- Responsible for collecting and recording guest data, both new and existing
- Processing and upselling orders through POS as needed
- Consistently demonstrate and role model our Values and Behaviors
- Understand and add value to our Achievement Based Culture
- Contribute to team culture and engagement plans
