POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chain Merchandising Manager is a dynamic, field-based role responsible for expanding the visibility and retail presence of the BFWC wine portfolio throughout Northern California, with a focus on the Bay Area. Reporting to regional leadership, this individual will lead distributor merchandising efforts, analyze retail data for strategic placement, and design incentive programs that drive promotional success. They will cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders and retail personnel, manage point-of-sale operations, and support high-impact product demos and third-party education events. The role requires strong collaboration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bring authenticity, enthusiasm, and creativity to a fast-paced environment, while closely aligning with brand goals and distributor strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Merchandiser – 90%
•  Expand the display and floor activity of BFWC wines. Be visible in the market and effectively motivate the Distributor Merchandising Team to grow sales and exposure.
•  Coordinate and direct all Chain Merchandiser activities under the direction of our California State Chain Manager and Regional Manager in Northern California.
•  Manage monthly execution tracking with the Wholesale Distributor and follow up frequently.
•  Partner with Distributor Merchandising Team to develop relationships and build BFWC business within Northern California (Bay Area). Grow and maintain relationships with key business personnel, including Account Managers, Liquor Op Coordinators, Wine Stewards, etc.
•  Work with Distributor Merchandising Team to assist in securing floor displays and promotions to increase the visibility of the BFWC Portfolio.
•  Assist Distributor in analyzing all Nielsen scan data to achieve increased visibility in National and Regional Chain sets that will lead to better shelf placements and better sell-through for the brand.
•  Pull and review Nielsen data for use in Distributor presentations and meetings.
•  Design, create, and execute merchandiser incentive plans and promotions to capture Distributor attention and create a unique selling environment for these promos.
•  Work with Marketing & Chain Manager to develop unique, creative & compelling point of sale materials that assist the sales team in attaining major in-store display placements.
•  Present opportunities and results to Distributor teams bi-monthly in person. Educate Distributor reps on the Bogle story, wines, and programs in retail distribution.
•  Manage Distributor Merchandising incentives and goals to align with BFWC goals and initiatives.
•  Bring personality, enthusiasm, and commitment to team success.
Accounts
•  Increase Distributor Manager and Rep relationships via work-withs and Team events. Participate in at least 8 Distributor work-withs per month.
•  Independent Fieldwork, develop in-store relationships and displays.
•  Point of sale (POS) inventory and warehouse management, NorCal.
Product Demos & Sales – 10%
•  Manage and train third-party demo companies to educate and inform potential customers on the unique aspects of Bogle and do so with knowledge & enthusiasm.
•  Manage the active demo calendar. Audit demos and educate staff. Supply educational brochures and online assets. Communicate with the Distributor sales team and track incremental movement to the floor.
•  Conduct demos in applicable high-value locations. Responsible for working with the Regional Manager to decide on brand and SKU priority during demos.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in wine sales or merchandising with a distributor required.
•  Management experience is strongly preferred.
•  Outgoing and engaged professional presence.
•  Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
•  Goal-oriented with a commitment to nurturing strong business partnerships.
•  Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
•  Proficient in PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Nielsen.
•  Must possess a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
•  Must reside in the East Bay or South Bay.
•  Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift and carry at least 55 pounds frequently. Must be able to walk, sit, bend, twist, and/or stand for long periods of time. Travel requirements: Must be able to travel away from home on an as-needed basis. Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
