Job Description:

Today, our portfolio features some of North America’s most revered wineries, including Decoy, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Sonoma Cutrer, Greenwing and Postmark.

The Director of Credit & Collections is responsible for managing and developing the Accounts Receivable staff, building key relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring compliance, and driving department efficiency and automation.

This role is hybrid, located in Santa Rosa, CA.


What we will ask you to do:
•  Hire, train, supervise and mentor the Accounts Receivable personnel.
•  Direct the operational functions of the department, including cash collections, customer credit management, cash application, financial reporting and sales invoicing.
•  Identify and manage the implementation of receivable and credit operational improvements to streamline and improve the efficiencies of current processes.
•  Prepare and/or review applicable accounting reports and accounts receivable registers to ensure accuracy and timely processing of payments.
•  Perform A/R month end closing process and reconciliation of A/R sub-ledger.
•  Work closely with sales and customer service team to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and customer ledger entries.
•  Create and maintain policies and procedures for the Accounts Receivable department.
•  Manage the customer credit risk assessment and assignment of credit terms and conditions.
•  Monitor credit exposure and performance of customers to facilitate proactive management of risks.
•  Negotiate credit terms and conditions when customers are unable to meet established guidelines.
•  Liaise with key internal groups to ensure a coordinated approach is taken towards the recovery of balance subject to dispute, slow payment, etc.

What you will need:
•  Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Credit & Collections senior management role.
•  Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience.
•  Microsoft Dynamics Navision experience preferred.
•  Must be detail oriented.
•  Ability to be a team leader who cultivates a positive, professional, and respectful team atmosphere.
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced, growing environment.
