DTC Growth and Partnerships Lead

DuMOL Winery

Napa, CA

Job Description:

At DuMOL, we believe in empowering our people and fulfilling career aspirations. DuMOL is a career destination with countless opportunities for advancement, and a world-class culture that is centered around creating the best possible environment for our people to thrive.

Founded in 1996, DuMOL farms with a sensitive touch to produce wines that connect on a deeply personal level and demonstrate the potential of our special vineyards each season. We exist to produce Sustainable Quality. We focus on what we can be the best at – and doing so via continuous improvement. We will always be pushing for higher quality because we care passionately about it – it is the only thing that is real and timeless.

DTC GROWTH AND PARTNERSHIPS LEAD
DuMOL is looking for a DTC Growth and Partnership Lead to join our team. This role will focus on meaningful, profitable growth for our DTC business. Your time will focus primarily on direct-to-consumer engagement, with a complementary focus on partner development, particularly through curated relationships with key restaurant targets and other values-aligned partners that help introduce DuMOL to new audiences. Success is measured by the number of profitable DTC customers (new and retained) and overall DTC sales.

Primary Responsibilities

Build meaningful relationships and deliver thoughtful, curated experiences - at the winery, on the road, or virtually - that broaden brand awareness, deepen engagement, and inspire long-term loyalty from both core and new customers.
Grow our customer base by focusing on individuals who are aligned with our values and interested in ongoing participation, not just one-time purchases.
Maintain and grow DTC relationships via Member outreach (both virtual and in-person) and sales support during DTC Releases.
Help define and execute strategies that drive measurable increases in annual DTC purchasers - focusing on profitable new customer acquisition and reducing attrition among our most engaged members.
Define and maintain a clear SOP for event prep, execution, and follow-up.
Manage the master events calendar and serve as the ambassador to event organizers and attendees to drive DTC growth.
Identify and nurture win-win partnerships with restaurants and collaborators who reflect our standards and help translate our craft to new audiences.
Engage with groups, trade partners, and like-minded brands who share a dedication to craftsmanship and connection.
Analyze performance data and customer feedback to continuously refine outreach, events, and storytelling efforts for higher conversion and retention.
Conduct tastings, presentations, and immersive experiences that leave guests with a deeper understanding of our wines and a genuine emotional connection to DuMOL.
Contribute to reducing SG&A as a percentage of revenue through smart resource allocation.
Develop standard operating procedures that enhance consistency, scalability, and excellence in execution - especially around events and activations.
Advise on inventory needs for events and samples, and help manage inventory for those channels.

The right candidate has:

A four-year degree, or equivalent experience, and a track record of success.
5-8 years of relevant work experience.
Passion for wine, with wine education credentials (e.g., WSET, MS, MW).
Proven ability to sell wine, especially in the DTC channel.
Experience managing or creating partnerships that drive customer acquisition or retention.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally across sales channels.
Strong understanding of customer lifetime value and profitability metrics.
Willingness and ability to travel, with experience working remotely through travel.

Location: Primary work location will be in Napa, CA. Significant travel is expected - up to 50-70% of the time.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
Full health benefits (medical, dental, vision)
401k Match
Gym membership stipend
Cell phone plan monthly stipend
Flexible employee-managed vacation time
Positive work culture built upon trust and empathy
Employee allocations of wine

DuMOL maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect DuMOL’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
