Domaine Eden Wine Tasting Experience Host

Part-Time
$20 hourly pay, plus pooled tips
Weekends Required: Saturdays and Sundays; occasional weekdays and evenings for private events
Tasting room hours- 12 pm- 5 pm seasonally
Approximate shift 10:30 am- 6:30 pm
Expected shifts per month: 2- 4

Domaine Eden is owned and operated by Mount Eden Vineyards.

At our Domaine Eden location, we offer a hybrid experience that blends elements of a traditional tasting room with a visit to a wine bar. Guests have the opportunity to purchase wine flights, wines by the glass, and bottles from both our Mount Eden and Domaine Eden brands.

Job Description:
•  Greet and direct guests to assigned tables based on the reservation system.
•  Present a memorable quality guest experience, offering information regarding the wine tasting options, questions regarding the winery and our history, and wine club membership information
•  Answer phone calls to the tasting room and transfer to voicemail if needed
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and, at times, keep busy during slower periods
•  Highly dependable, acute attention to detail
•  Comfortable speaking to varying group sizes
•  Gain knowledge to show the facility to customers for private events
•  Assist with Mount Eden and Domaine events as needed
•  Other duties as assigned
•  Professional appearance, demeanor and enthusiasm
•  Must be a team player able to work with a variety of people
•  Must be able to open and close the tasting room on your own
•  Able to independently work with limited supervision
•  Operate POS and online booking systems
•  Miscellaneous activities such as cleaning and polishing glassware and maintaining the appearance of the tasting room and patio

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
•  Must be 21 years of age
•  Previous wine tasting room or server experience required
•  Weekend availability
•  Constant standing and walking in an outdoor environment (all weather conditions)
•  Frequent ascending or descending stairs
•  Ability to lift 50 pounds
•  Own a reliable vehicle that can drive up our remote driveway
•  Must have or will complete RBS training within 30 days of employment.
