Job Description: Cellar Master @ Luxury Napa Valley Winery

Job Description
A small, premium winery located in the Napa Valley is seeking Cellar Master to will manage all cellar, laboratory, safety and compliance related issues for the winery.

Cellar:
Responsible for all cellar related duties, including:
1: Inventory management. Provide accurate counts of both bulk and bottled inventory for Finance.
2: Inventory health management: Monitor S02 additions, topping, cellar cleanliness.
3: Wine movements: Manage all racking, sanitation, wine transfers, wine shipping, grape handling and harvest duties
4: Routine equipment maintenance, supply ordering and managing the chemical and supply inventory
4: Bottling Operations: Manage wine preparation prior to bottling, packaging materials inventories.
5: Harvest Operations: Manage tank schedule, maceration regimes, barrel fermentation, harvest schedule, pump over shifts with Winemaker.

Laboratory:
1: Perform all routine wine analyses.
2: Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, validation of results with outside laboratory.
3: Enter results into winemaker spreadsheets.

Safety:
1: Serve as Safety Officer for winery
2: Maintain all safety records and cave employee safety instruction affidavits.
3: Maintain MSDS Binder.
4: Maintain Safety binder, all related documents, per Cal OSHAs requirements.

Compliance:
1: Maintain all winemaking records on shared database.
2: Provide monthly inventories, bottling records, losses, movements for filing of TTB form 702.
3: Maintain all purchasing records of packaging and cellar materials
4: Provide accurate alcohol levels for filing of COLAs.
