Position Overview
As the Tasting Room Manager, you will be the face of Sculpterra Winery’s tasting room experience. This role requires a combination of excellent customer service, team leadership, and operational management to ensure a seamless and elevated experience for our guests. You will be responsible for leading and supervising tasting room staff, driving wine sales, maintaining the winery’s high standards of service, and coordinating events to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience: Provide exceptional service to guests, educating them about our wines, the winemaking process, and the unique aspects of our estate. Foster an environment of hospitality that encourages customer engagement, wine sales, and repeat visits.

Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support tasting room staff to ensure a well-coordinated, motivated team that provides a high standard of service. Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage for daily operations and events.

Event Coordination: Plan, organize, and oversee tasting room events, including private tastings, wine releases, and special events. Work closely with marketing and production teams to ensure events align with the winery’s goals and brand image.

Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory of merchandise, and tasting room supplies. Ensure that the tasting room is fully stocked and organized.
Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the tasting room, including cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and compliance with safety regulations. Ensure that the tasting room remains clean, welcoming, and aligned with Sculpterra’s standards.

Customer Feedback and Engagement: Act as a point of contact for guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback, providing prompt resolutions and ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor online reviews and assist with maintaining the winery’s positive reputation on social media and review platforms.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a customer-facing hospitality or retail management role, preferably within the wine or beverage industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve goals.
Excellent wine knowledge, with the ability to educate customers on varietals, winemaking processes, and pairing suggestions.
Wine certifications such as WSET, CMS, or similar are preferred.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Strong sales skills with the ability to drive wine club membership growth and retail sales.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in event planning and coordination is highly desirable.
Proficiency in point-of-sale systems (Orderport preferred), Wineshipping logistics, and other administrative tools.
A positive, can-do attitude, and a passion for the wine industry and hospitality.
