Who We Are:
AVP Wine Collective is a collective winery and commercial storage facility in the Portland metro area. We help experienced and emerging winemakers launch by providing a well-organized, well-equipped winery alongside a supportive community and expert help.
In addition, we store cases of wine, distilled spirits and consumer packaged goods and provide auxiliary services for wineries and distilleries.

What’s The Job:
Our winery director will be responsible for the overall organization and functionality of our production facility. They will also serve as winemaker for custom crush projects. In collaboration with our CEO, they will coordinate harvest activities for client wineries. They will be the main point of contact for wineries using our space regarding production activities. Duties will include but are not limited to:

Maintaining all equipment and ensuring it is all in good working order
Training winemakers on equipment and protocols
Ensuring all protocols are being followed.
Coordinating harvest production calendar and communicating with wineries regarding production activities
Making sure all gasses and sanitation supplies are stocked
Filling propane tanks
Troubleshooting equipment or facility problems
Forklift assistance for winemakers and warehouse staff


What You Bring to The Table:

At least 5 years winemaking experience. Custom crush experience a plus!
A passion for working with and supporting small winemakers
A commitment to upholding our values of inclusivity and respect
A can-do attitude and willingness to go with the flow and work out problems collaboratively.
Forklift experience.

Compensation:
$50,000 a year salary paid once a month. Generous health insurance benefits, including dental, vision and alternative care. Generous paid-time-off. Bonus structure for custom crush winemaking projects.
