SUMMARY:
We are a small, family-owned and operated winery in Napa Valley, seeking a dynamic individual to join our wine education team. Successful candidates will be outgoing, friendly, and enjoy interacting with guests while delivering the highest level of hospitality. Our ideal candidate is passionate about wine, eager to learn and thrives in a team environment. The regular weekly schedule will include weekends and holidays.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Deliver exceptional hospitality to every guest, with a goal of building a lasting relationship.
•  Host wine tasting experiences, educate guests about the family story, vineyards and winemaking style.
•  Sell wine and wine club memberships to guests and ask each guest for the sale.
•  Participate in side work, opening and closing responsibilities in the tasting room.
•  Assist with occasional events and hotel pourings as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties in a satisfactory manner:
•  Exemplify enthusiasm and passion about wine and hospitality, with a strong desire to create memorable experiences.
•  Some wine knowledge, with the desire to continue developing personal wine education.
•  Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to speak comfortably in front of people.
•  Strong sales and customer service experience: ability to present product and close sale without feeling pushy.
•  Team-player mindset - willing and eager to work with a team, maintaining strong relationships and positive disposition.
•  Ability to multitask and remain calm, polite and professional in a fast-paced environment.
•  Available to work all weekends and holidays.
•  Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year of experience in the wine, restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.
Experience with winery POS software preferred but not required.
