Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in helping the company make informed financial decisions, provide insights into financial performance, and support strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and budget analyses to management.
Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and insights.
Evaluate financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for deviations from budget.
Assist in the development of financial models to support decision-making.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Monitor and report on key financial metrics.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested.
Lead the forecasting process by gathering and analyzing data to predict future financial trends.
Develop and maintain accurate and detailed financial forecasts.
Create and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.

Prepares AR and AP balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries on a monthly basis
Support daily sales reconciliation from Magento and Revel; assist in researching discrepancies and variances
Records fixed assets, reconciles accounts and runs fixed asset reports
Reconcile other key balance sheet accounts
Perform monthly journal entries on amortization, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and property taxes.
Assist in Investor wires and checks process.
Assist in preparation of departmental financial statements, supporting documentation and other ad hoc reports as needed and requested by management
Coordinate compliance management and reconcile prepaid compliance along with compliance reports needed for CQ&A at month-end.
Act as resident expert on all wine compliance issues and provide guidance and supporting documentation to the business as needed for proposed changes
Perform credit reviews for new and existing customers to protect company assets
Reconcile and allocate excise and sales taxes.
Track and Prepare all property tax bills for reporting and payment
Assists in streamlining any accounting reports or processes as needed
Assists in analysis of financial statements and perform reclasses as needed.
Support on reconciliation of bank accounts and assist with researching outstanding items
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
Strong understanding of financial principles and concepts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience with financial modeling and forecasting preferred.
Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the policies of HALL Wines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, bending, carrying, standing, manual dexterity, reaching, visual acuity, driving, and occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary dependent on experience with potential for bonus
