The Digital Marketing Manager will manage the strategy, execution, and optimization of Visit Napa Valley’s digital presence. This includes overseeing website performance and content strategy, managing content management systems (CMS), SEO, CRO, and digital asset organization. You’ll also support email marketing efforts, maintain clean data across analytics and CRM systems, and ensure public-facing online calendars are current and accurate. This role requires staying ahead of digital trends while driving performance across all digital touchpoints.
What you’ll do:
• Manage CMS and oversee website development and performance, including the design and execution of landing pages, navigation, content, and graphics for VisitNapaValley.com.
• Devise and manage backend management systems for storage, organization, and categorization of all digital assets: imagery, videos, and digital collateral.
• Manage SEO strategy and enhanced web features, including recommendations for improved performance metrics.
• Oversee CRO approach and best practices, delivering actionable plans and execution to improve conversion on all Visit Napa Valley webpages and channels.
• Collaborate with the Brand and Content Manager to maintain and grow the email database, enhance segmentation, and drive overall campaign performance. Ensure that all incoming email contacts are properly inputted and stored into Visit Napa Valley’s email database.
• Stay abreast of digital trends and programs. Maintain Google Analytics and CRM database, ensuring data is clean and accurate.
• Seek out events to update public facing online calendars. Share website best practices.
• Manage digital signage, programming, and content rotation for True Omni kiosks and the large-screen platform at the Napa Valley Welcome Center. Train staff on the software and maintain best practices.
• Stay up to date on the latest applications of artificial intelligence and manage the integration of these features into the website user experience.
What We’re Looking For (Skills and Qualifications):
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in digital marketing.
• Proven working experience managing CMS and overseeing website development and performance.
• Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/CRO, marketing database, and email marketing programs.
• Highly creative with experience in identifying digital optimization opportunities and executing strategies and tactics.
• Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CMS tools).
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
• Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
• Foster proactive communication of ideas and strategies.
• A willingness to apply personal strengths to projects beyond finite areas of responsibility.
• Proven track record of building successful relationships with internal stakeholders and external partner organizations.
• Creative, organized, and detail oriented.
• A self-starter with the ability to multitask.
• Demonstrated excellent prioritization, time management and project management skills.
• Demonstrated strong written and oral communications and presentation skills.
• Political astuteness. Act as brand ambassador with all touch points throughout the community and beyond.
