We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Tasting Room Manager to join the MacRostie Winery Hospitality team! Reporting to the Senior Hospitality & Events Manager, this key member of the Estate House team is responsible for directly supporting the Senior Hospitality & Events Manager (SHEM) with tasting room (TR) management. This position also serves as lead tasting room MOD 3-4 days/week and takes a leadership role in all back of the house programs including Scheduling, Inventory Management, Ordering, Payroll, Systems Management and SOP Management. The incumbent also serves as Guest Services liaison. This role is based in Healdsburg, California and is a salaried, full time, exempt position, working Friday thru Tuesday and the incumbent qualifies for our outstanding health care benefits, PTO, 401k plan, wine allowance and more!
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of hospitality or operations experience
Tasting room, wine club or restaurant management preferred
High school graduate
College degree preferred
Best in class hospitality and customer relationship management for world class service
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong operations and organization skills
Ability to multi-task and delegate
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient with winery, restaurant or other retail POS systems
Proficient with back-office systems including payroll systems
Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
WORKPLACE 70%
Assist in all aspects of TR management
Lead MOD 3-4 days/week
Mastery of POS, reservation, CRM systems and TR SOP’s
MARKETPLACE 20%
Role model exemplary hospitality and customer service
Manage relationships with all systems and back of the office vendors (or KS team) as pertaining to day to day TR activities
Participate in 4-6 external consumer tasting events throughout Sonoma and the Bay Area annually
PEOPLE & CULTURE 10%
Actively participate in the Lion People processes and ensure 100% complete within agreed time frames Champion safety with all team members
