The DTC and Wine Club Manager is responsible for driving wine sales through the Direct-to-Consumer channel by growing and retaining membership in the Amaterra Wine Club. Members will be introduced to the Wine Club through the tasting room/restaurant, events at the winery, internet, social media, and word of mouth. The DTC and Wine Club Manager is the primary point of contact for members and prospective members, so relationship building is a large part of this position. This position is responsible for DTC and Wine Club activities in both Portland and Bend locations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Degree in hospitality management, public relations, business, or relevant field is preferred.
5+ years’ experience in DTC and wine club management in a premium winery.
Experience working with Commerce 7 or other club management software required. Additionally, experience using TOCK is required.
Proficiency in Office 365, including Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated sales success and product marketing/placement experience.
Knowledge of wine shipping legal compliance required.
Experience working in the restaurant industry and/or cellar experience preferred.
Valid driver license.

Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Build and maintain Wine Clube member relationships.
Work with Director of Operations, Winery to create annual goals and budgets for the Wine Club and DTC sales channel.
Drive strategic sales plans and marketing strategies to increase Wine Club memberships and DTC sales both locally and in non-local markets.
Work with Amaterra teammates to call on partner industries to drive visitation to winery to drive Wine Club memberships and DTC sales.
Drive wine club membership enrollment to meet business objectives as assigned.
Drive wine sales through the Wine Club and general consumers to meet business objectives as assigned.
Ensure retail wine sales area operates efficiently and is reaching sales objectives.
Manage wine inventory counts and process in DTC and Wine Club as outlined by Controller.
Train, enable, and ensure sustainment of best practices for Wine Club and wine sales through service, host, and event teams.
Execute email campaigns supporting DTC and Wine Club objectives.
Generate and organize social media content to engage members and drive interest with prospects.
Regularly update prospective club members’ account/personal information as it is received.
Provide outstanding service at every customer touchpoint, from oral and written communication to all telephone and email inquiries, requests, or complaints from Wine Club members and prospective members.
Review Tock on a daily/weekly basis for Wine Club membership reservations and ensure they receive the appropriate level of attention to maintain membership engagement.
Support planning and execution of all Wine Club events.
Lead, organize, and execute Wine Club shipments, rallying assistance or budgeting labor needs as appropriate.
Proactively identify and resolve customer inquiries with thorough research and follow- through.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of the company’s wines, story, and the winemaking process in order to effectively advise and sell wine to guests in person, via email, and by phone.
Exceptional skills in customer service and hospitality.
Deliver wine to wholesale accounts in Oregon as needed (Amaterra is self-distributed in Oregon).
Work collaboratively with the Events department.
Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Winery and Production:
Amaterra is a full production estate winery. All team members will need to be open to assisting (not required) with production, bottling, and harvest. Responsibilities are as follows:
Execute routine cellar and packaging activities.
Cleaning is a primary function of this role and the winemaking process in general. This will include equipment, facilities (floors/walls), and barrels. These conditions are sometimes extended hours and wet and/or cold environment.
Other duties pertaining to the winemaking process as assigned.
