Whistler Vineyards '25 Harvest Internship

Whistler Vineyards

Cloverdale, CA

Job Description:

Whistler Vineyards is looking for 1-2 interns to join us for our inaugural harvest for an all-encompassing, engaging internship through which your hard work will produce ultra-high-quality wines representative of their origin. We are hoping to find individuals who are passionate about wine, in particular pinot noir, who are looking to give their all, not cut corners, fully immerse themselves in this upcoming harvest, and through this get to learn from our seasoned, passionate, and wildly funny production team.

Whistler Vineyards is a family-owned winery focusing on vineyard-specific wines from the West Sonoma Coast. It all started with our estate vineyard, Whistler Vineyard, located in the north-western corner of the West Sonoma Coast just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard is planted exclusively with Pinot Noir, Viognier, and Chardonnay at an ultra-high density of 2,450-4,000 vines per acre. The site’s deep, marine sedimentary soils along with the cooling ocean breezes allow us to dry-farm, producing small clusters with tiny berries that have great flavor intensity.

We’ve since expanded to include more Annapolis vineyards as well as a Freestone-Occidental site in addition to the Dry Creek vineyard on the winery property. Our main focus is to craft wines that are focused, distinct, and energetic and accomplish this through a low-input winemaking style, native fermentations, and lots of passion and purpose. While our main focus lies with Pinot noir you will be able to see varieties such as: Viognier, Malvasia Bianca, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Zinfandel.

Harvest is our one opportunity to truly shape a vintage of wine and are looking for individuals to help us in this intense but incredibly fun process.

If the above describes you we encourage you to apply!

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who:
Is passionate about wine
Has a hard work-ethic
Is looking to learn from a group of skilled individuals
Is able to work well in group and individual settings
Has a positive attitude and is reliable

What you will need:

Ability to lift up to 42 lbs
