2025 Harvest Internship-Housing Included

Brooks Winery

On-Site + Housing Included > Amity, OR

Job Description:

Brooks is a biodynamic winery located in the Eola-Amity Hills that is committed to carrying on the legacy of our founder, Jimi Brooks. We are here to cultivate intentional community, care for our people, and most importantly, the land. We are currently seeking passionate and hard-working wine professionals to join our team for the upcoming 2025 vintage. We grow and make Pinot Noir and Riesling, along with numerous other aromatic white varietals, Syrah and Gamay. As a member of our team, you will work alongside us to process approximately 300 tons of fruit from our estate and other historic vineyards in the Willamette Valley and the Columbia Gorge.

We are looking for curious individuals with a mind for safety and details, as well as a willingness to get dirty, tired, and sticky in the process of discovering all aspects of harvest-related wine-production essentials. This position includes on-site team housing, lunches provided by our winery chef, dinners provided by our community on our longer days, and access to fresh eggs and veggies from the garden. We strive to create a collaborative environment where you will get the chance to work closely with the production team, ask questions, and see how the decisions made affect the ultimate style of the finished wines. This is a paid position (competitive wage – experience appreciated but not required).

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning, fruit sorting, equipment setup and cleanup, fermentation cap management, fruit sampling for maturity assessment, some barrel work, assisting with pressing operations, data collection for fermentation monitoring, sensory evaluation, and taking turns as the winery DJ.

Other requirements include
•  Strong verbal/written communication skills in English
•  Team player with a good attitude and sense of humor
•  Reliable, self-motivated, and energetic
•  Strong attention to detail and pride in work
•  Able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and work on your feet for 10+ hours in a fast-paced environment
•  Able and willing to work long hours, including lots of overtime for the duration of harvest, running from roughly the beginning of September to early November
•  A valid permit to work in US or must qualify for J1 visa

If this seems like a fit, please reach out to apply with your CV, cover letter, and professional references.
