We are looking for a harvest intern for the upcoming 2025 vintage. Purple Sky is the newest and biggest winery in Utah, with state of the art equipment. We are looking to expand and pioneer wine making in the Beehive State. We will offer the chance the chance to work with both our Utah grown hybrid grapes, as well as premium sourced fruit from Washington, Oregon, and California. We have capacity for 600 tons, but are expecting roughly 180 tons this year from 11 different varieties. We are small but laid back team of 3 full time employees, looking to add 2 seasonal interns. We aim to not only make great wines, but also have fun while we're doing it!
You will be able to take part in everything from grape receival, additions, blending, barrel working, to bottling, and lots of cleaning! There is also vineyard work opportunity mostly at the beginning of harvest, but this is primarily a cellar position.
Time Frame
We are looking for a start date around the 3rd week of August, finish date will be around Thanksgiving, or possibly through Christmas to help with bottling, if interested. We expect grape receival to begin around the end of August and run through mid to late October, after which we will be in barrel and bottling mode.
