About the role
Treasury Wine Estates is looking for a Senior Finance Analyst that can deliver comprehensive analysis, actionable insights, and financial support to key business partners involved in bottling operations, primary and secondary packaging, and the production of finished goods.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* Precise evaluation and consolidation of budgets and forecasts for Bottling & Packaging, including the development of annual recovery and absorption rates for standard cost setting.
* Assist with the establishment & implementation of best practice key performance indicators
* Provide analysis and assist in compiling recommendations in cost savings projects/strategic decisions for Packaging Operations
* Provide financial bottling inputs for New Product Development
* Support development of detailed product/line routings and bottling rates for costing
* Preparation of capital expenditure justifications for Bottling & Packaging operations
* Full Understanding of Packaging costs, MFG variances, & Recoveries by Production Site & Location
* Semi-Monthly Alignment with Stakeholders on Financial Positions & proactive assessments on potential Opportunities and Risks.
* Prepare clear, concise, comprehensive, and forward-looking analyses of options and scenarios that support and influence the strategic direction and tactical decisions for the business.
* Effective working in a matrix environment, partnering with multiple stakeholders to analyze cost drivers to identify current and emerging risks and opportunities and provide appropriate recommendations.
* Excellent verbal and written skills that demonstrate the ability to articulate quantitative and qualitative results/findings and convey effective solutions.
* Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work independently, manage/review projects, perform ad hoc and structured analysis.
* Review and analysis of financial results ensuring integrity of P&L and balance sheet
* Develop and continuously enhance the processes and tools for Monthly/Annual Budgeting, Forecasting, and Strategic Planning, along with the resulting reporting packs for Packaging.
* Develop ways of working and liaising with TBS/RTR teams to ensure efficient and quality outcomes.
* Weekly Visits to Sonoma Bottling Center and other Winery Production (Mobile Bottling) sites with onsite stakeholders
* Proactively participate in Packaging & Supply meetings and planning sessions.
* Gather and model baseline data for network and service analysis to drive continuous improvement opportunities and enhance reporting.
* Develop recovery/absorption rates for standard cost setting.
* Preparation of finished goods standards
* Accept coaching and direction from manager. Solicit and act on feedback from manager, peers, and partners & undertake organization training and development as required
* Exhibit a thorough understanding of Supply Operations activities and cost drivers to effectively contribute to the Supply team in identifying risks and opportunities for performance improvement.
About you
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
* BS/BA in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related analytical discipline
* Exceptionally strong analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills
* Capability to communicate effectively and interact at all levels to drive participation and partnership across a geographically diversified cross functional group of colleagues
* Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach; must be self-motivated, proactive, and flexible.
* Able to maintain both a rigorous attention to detail and a big-picture, strategic mindset
* Comfortable working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team
* Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
* Commercial experience in Packaging, Operations, or Logistics related industries is a plus
* Proven analytical experience to drive decisions & beneficial outcomes
* Mature interpersonal, influencing, oral, written and problem-solving skills are a necessity
* Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
* Ability to work well under pressure in a multitask environment
* Strong work ethic
