An opportunity to work with Jackson Family Wines in Soledad, CA for the 2025 Harvest, this role entails regular interaction with the cellar, laboratory, and winemaking teams. The dynamic and diverse environment provides exposure to a variety of grape growing appellations, wine grape varietals, and winemaking techniques. It is a demanding, multi-faceted position that offers many opportunities to acquire hands-on winemaking experience. This high-energy, fast-paced position begins mid-August, and concludes at the end of harvest.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Seasonal Enologist is a critical member of the winemaking team at Jackson Family Wines. This person will work directly with our winemaking team on a wide range of harvest operations including, but not limited to:
• Monitoring fermentations
• Wine and juice analysis
• Trialing new technologies
• Data collection
• Overall harvest management
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• The right candidate must be able to work within a team, as well as independently as needed.
• Exceptional communication skills, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
• A formal education in Enology or other Life Science, and fluency with Microsoft Office applications is preferable.
• This position requires flexibility and the ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.

WAGE TRANSPARENCY: The base pay for this role ranges from $21.50 -$26.50 per hour. Compensation will be determined by candidate experience, skills, and location.
