Located in the Santa Ynez Valley, McKinney Family Vineyards is devoted to crafting outstanding high-end boutique wines. We work with estate grown fruit as well as locally sourced grapes from the most premier vineyards throughout STA Rita Hills, Happy Canyon, and Los Olivos.

We are searching for a passionate and driven individual with a genuine vibe to join our team for the upcoming 2025 harvest season. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in every aspect of the harvest process, collaborating closely with a close-knit team in one of California's most exceptional wine growing regions.

Responsibilities of the role, include but are not limited to:
Fruit processing, sanitizing, cleaning
Fermentation, pump overs, brix/temp record keeping, organization of simultaneous fermentations
Cellar work, barrel prep, barrel filling, equipment sanitizing
Vineyard sampling, picking, and quality control
Run lab equipment, (chemistry) and data entry

Requirements:
We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and well-organized Harvest Intern who also possesses communication and time management skills.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner at all times.
Stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, climb stairs, bend, lift, twist, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed.
Must have a driver's license and their own transportation. Must be able to provide a genuine vibe.

Compensation :
$20/hr + Overtime (x1.5), DOE

The internship is a seasonal position that will commence on September 1st and extend until a flexible ending date in mid-November. Please note that the role entails long days, including weekends and holidays.
