Position Summary
Responsible for driving the profitable development of Crimson Wine Group business in assigned National and Key Regional Chains in the Western United States.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop, foster and maintain strong working relationships with high level of visibility and communication with national account buyers, key distributor contacts, and 3rd party marketing firms.
• Continuously assess target accounts and effectively utilize company resources of consumer and shopper insights, sales data, POS, events, and other to drive growth.
• Develop and drive annual account plan that establishes the key deliverables within set budget parameters.
• Collaborate and coordinate National Account pricing & programming, internally and externally, to seamlessly execute authorizations and placements while maintaining brand standards.
• Track spending programs and utilize analysis tools to measure ROI and overall program evaluation.
• Conduct random surveys of pricing, placements and display commitments. Inform and correct where appropriate.
• Monitor competitor activity in each account and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated, communicated, and executed.
• Compile monthly volume and distribution sales results. Proactively identify Opportunities and Risks to plan.
• Conduct/Attend regular business reviews with manager, distributor and chain buyers.
• Stay current on industry developments – especially customer ownership shifts, consumers, and consumption.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years making direct Chain Sales calls.
• Preferred experience calling directly on Kroger CA, ABSCO CA, & BevMo.
• Must demonstrate a high level of knowledge and comprehension of products, the wine industry, distributor culture, pricing and programming.
• Works effectively as a member of a team (functionally, cross-functionally, across CWG etc.).
• Understanding of strategic planning, program evaluation, pricing, and profit calculation.
• Highly organized, accurate, attention to detail and ability to follow through is essential.
• Drives culture of continuous improvement.
• Polished and professional demeanor; strong presentation skills.
• Strong computer proficiency required in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for special events.
• US domestic travel (approximately 40%) is required across customer base.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Must have a current valid driver’s license, a clean DMV record and maintain current auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• California based preferred.
The projected base pay range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 per year. At target earning projected $165,000 to $190,000.
The above range/rate is the projected compensation for this position however the actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as (but not limited to) candidate qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work location and market data. Crimson Wine Group reserves the right to modify the pay range/rate at any time in the future.
