Bacigalupi Vineyards is a small family run winery and vineyard operation that has been in business since 1956. We make small lots of premium wines approximately 2,500 cases in the Russian River Valley. We are currently seeking a Tasting Room Host to join our team. This role provides an excellent hospitality experience, represents the brand on and off property to VIP and industry guests, and leads the wine education program. We offer high touch experiences that put the customer interaction, and white glove service at the forefront of all of our tastings.
This is a position that works side by side with generational owners/managers Nicole and Katey, giving a unique opportunity to learn about wine, the business and growing premium grapes.

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate has strong technical wine proficiency, a compelling communication style that can command a room, a genuine service heart, strong sales skills and thrives on collaboration to achieve objectives.
- a minimum of 2 years in wine or hospitality based experience
- Focus on providing great hospitality and customer service
- Professional appearance and upbeat demeanor
- Must be 21 years old
- Retail sales experience a plus
- Proficient in word, Excel, and email
-Available to work weekends and holidays a must
- Ability to manage change and adapt to a quick changing environment
- Must be dependable and punctual and able to work a flexible schedule when needed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and serve guests hospitably
- Describe wines, winemaking techniques, and family history
- Effectively advises and sells wine to customers
-Create a memorable experience for guests
-Wash and polish glassware for Tasting Room
- Handle routine point of sale transactions
- Provide general tourist information
- Assist in shipping and fulfillment of wine shipments
-Answer tasting room phone to field questions and arrange group tours and tastings
-Assist with hospitality special events as needed
-Assist with display and pricing of retail items and wines as needed
-General cleaning as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
