Pay Range: $27/hr - $29/hr
SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate and improve vineyard data collection, provide timely and relevant data to the viticulturist and key stakeholders, and work in partnership with the viticulturist on viticulture programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collection, organization and reporting of all viticulture data; including field inspections for viruses, pest, disease, phenology, cluster counts for crop estimates, and lag phase weights.
• Monitor and maintain all viticulture equipment; GNSS units, pressure chambers, soil probes, water meters and weather stations.
• Coordinate and participate in field inspections, water potential measurements, maturity sampling and vine health assessments.
• Process maturity samples for lab analysis during harvest.
• Support sustainability and other compliance programs; monitor water meters, FFF photo monitor, and compost operations.
• Produce monthly weather reports; ensure accurate data, analyze and highlight key seasonal attributes. Share the information on a monthly basis to the Viticulture team, the winemaking team and the leadership team.
• Assist the assistant winemaker with the internal LAMP assays: sample, run analysis.
• In partnership with viticulturist, oversee and maintain onsite compost operations, beneficial insect and rodent control programs.
• Attend relevant viticulture seminars and continuing education to stay current on vineyard issues.
• Training and overseeing seasonal help.
• Contribute to a variety of special projects as assigned or as needed.
• Support vineyard team in adhering to Viticulture Policies and following standard procedures.
• Build and maintain culture of health and safety. Ensure that health and safety policies are met, where possible exceeded.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in related field or equivalent
• Two years related experience
• Strong written/verbal communication skills in English
• Spanish language proficiency preferred
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have a sense of humor and the ability to be a team player.
• Private Applicator Pesticide License (PAL)
• GIS Skills (Esri, QGIS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Read / Write Spanish
• Experience with AgCode
• BS in Viticulture or related Ag Field.
• QAL or PCA
