About Us

Mascarin Family Wines represents a new frontier in Sonoma County winemaking, producing small-lot, intentionally crafted wines from some of the region’s most celebrated vineyards. As a family-owned winery, we produce approximately 2,500 cases annually, featuring award-winning Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from prestigious Sonoma Coast AVAs. Our commitment to quality is matched by our dedication to sustainable and organic farming practices, ensuring that each wine reflects the unique character of its vineyard.

Our tasting room is a hidden gem just outside Healdsburg, nestled among eight acres of vineyards, lush gardens, and walnut trees along a tranquil creek that flows into the Russian River. About Our Winemaker

Winemaker Matt Taylor brings over two decades of experience and innovation, rooted in his third-generation Sonoma heritage and enriched by sabbaticals in France, Argentina, Switzerland, and Australia. Matt is known for his meticulous approach and commitment to natural winemaking-employing native yeast fermentation, minimal sulfur, no fining or filtering, and biodynamic farming methods learned during his time in Switzerland. His philosophy is to let each wine express its terroir, balancing fruit, acidity, and tension to create cellar-worthy wines that evolve beautifully once opened.

Position Summary

As a Direct Sales & Hospitality Associate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and embodying the ethos of Mascarin Family Wines. This exempt position offers competitive compensation based on experience, with primary workdays typically Thursday through Monday.

Key Responsibilities

Drive direct sales by expertly recommending wines, promoting wine club memberships, and serving as a brand ambassador.
Provide a welcoming, informative atmosphere-sharing our wines’ stories, vineyard origins, winemaking philosophy, and winery history.
Accurately manage purchasing transactions, including POS operations, returns, and discounts.
Maintain stock levels for wine and merchandise, and assist in organizing and executing hospitality events.
Uphold the tasting room’s appearance and ambiance, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
Nurture relationships within the local wine industry and community to support business growth.
Lead customer service for direct-to-consumer activities, including managing inquiries, orders, packing, and shipping.
Process donation requests and report on wine club and tasting room activities under management guidance.
Manage inventory transactions and conduct regular counts.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 21 years of age, with prior wine knowledge and a passion for the wine industry.
3–5 years of tasting room, hospitality, and wine club management experience preferred.
Professional, positive, and engaging demeanor with strong communication skills.
Experience with wine industry software (Orderport, Winshipping, Tock) is a plus.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Capable of standing, walking, and engaging with guests for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently.
Clean, professional appearance and ability to represent Mascarin Family Wines both internally and externally.
Willingness to travel occasionally to other company locations.
