About the Role
The Workers' Compensation and Safety Program Coordinator will implement the company's end-to-end process for managing workers' compensation insurance claims, while also supporting injury prevention and wellness initiatives, and the handling various safety-related recordkeeping tasks across the organization.
As a key member of the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Team at Treasury Wine Estates (TWE), this position collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including People & Culture, Total Rewards Team, Legal, and Site Leaders/Managers.
Key Responsibilities
* The point person for injury management issues include: first aid, incident triage with our injury management partner (WorkCare), medical treatment from our preferred providers, and filing Workers' Compensation claims documents timely and as needed.
* Manages the Work Comp claim from beginning to end. Coordinates with insurance carriers, medical providers, and employees to ensure timely and accurate reporting and processing of claims.
* Communicate with supervisors and managers if there are job restrictions to be accommodated, and document accommodation actions and decisions.
* Holds interactive calls with employees and their managers regarding return-to-work processes and procedures.
* Sets up regular phone check-ins with employees depending on level claim.
* Maintains accurate records of all claims, including documentation of conversations, correspondence, and follow-up actions.
* Works with HR Assist to provide the required employee data to our insurance carrier.
* Assists with the annual insurance renewal process including gathering data from others.
* Supports and manages recordkeeping components including, but not limited to, the following: Regional H&S Statistics, including OSHA 300 Logs, H&S Training Databases and Records, Contractor Management Documents and Insurance Certificates, My HSE Records and Reports
* Assists with workplace incident investigations and documentation
* Tracks actions to completion
* Updates MyHSE records
* Fosters a culture of safety by encouraging employee participation and feedback on safety and wellness matters
* Holds interactive conversations with employees related to workplace injuries and illnesses
* Supports personal medical accommodations, as needed
* Analyzes safety and workers' compensation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks.
* Continuously evaluates and improves safety programs and workers' compensation processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
About you
* A bachelor's degree is highly recommended
* First Aid and CPR Certified is highly recommended
* You are proficient in both English and Spanish
* You have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Workers' Compensation oversight and/or HR generalist experience, preferably in a similar industry.
* You have a strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The hourly pay range offered for this position is $36.06 to $37.50, other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our Napa location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
