Position Purpose
Working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Director, and in close partnership with the Maintenance Supervisors, the Maintenance Planning Supervisor will help coordinate all maintenance activities and help develop job and safety plans to improve workforce productivity. The role will be the liaison between the storeroom and the Maintenance Supervisors to ensure all work activities are planned, estimated, and scheduled. The Maintenance Planning Supervisor will also provide leadership and guidance on effective utilization of the existing CMMS system (Asset Essentials).
Functional Responsibility
• Supervises the day-to-day operations and assigned staff in accordance with management's direction
• Leads in a constructive manner by example; demonstrates and encourages a strong work ethic and fosters an environment of trust and respect
• Guides team in the proper use of assets and resources to avoid waste and ensure cost-effective operations
• Monitors performance and regularly communicates with team to achieve mutual understanding, maintain level of productivity, and deliver desired results
• Partners with immediate manager to determine staffing needs
• Ensures employees have a safe, healthy, and rewarding work environment, provides applicable safety training and resolves/reports safety issues to management
• Supports change initiatives and company decisions in an effective manner
• Immediately informs management and addresses employee issues, concerns, and complaints in an objective and confidential manner
• Ensures employees are trained on the policies, processes, and procedures related to functional area; maintains company and regulatory compliance during day-day-operations
• Adheres to departmental GPS (Performance Management) guidelines and ensures proper GPS documentation; trains employees to do the job; identifies and makes suggestions for training needs and development opportunities
Essential Duties
• Identifies the elements of an executable work package that should contain (but is not limited to), the work plan (including the process and desired end results), the necessary materials, tools, and permits, and labor requirements prior to scheduling the work
• Facilitates weekly scheduling with Production and Maintenance Bottling, Production, or Facilities departments for resource balancing to ensure job schedules meet the timing requirements of production
• Partners with maintenance supervisors to analyze and investigate all planned and scheduled work requests
• Develops work order-based job plans in consultation with Maintenance Team Supervisors, Leads, and Manager
• Works with all departments to handle scheduled equipment downtime based on process needs and the current business environment
• Collects, tracks and reports on appropriate metrics to monitor and improve maintenance performance and plant reliability
• Works with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Director to support plant reliability and mechanical integrity programs
• Oversees planning and scheduling of plant preventative maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs
• Trains CMMS end users and new administrators; serves as liaison for problem solving and escalation
• Oversees the storeroom parts inventory
• Supervises the Storeroom Coordinator to ensure daily inventory transactions are accurately captured the CMMS
• Manages work orders in the CMMS system, ensuring proper creation, scheduling, updates, and closures
• Performs data analysis on parts and assets, recommends software enhancements and process changes
• Performs spare parts inventory management and auditing; publishes weekly spare part cycle count results to the Maintenance management team
• Maintains accurate winery asset list and ensures asset tag system is organized and tags are applied to relevant assets

Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3-5 years related experience
• 1 year leadership experience
Certificates and Licenses
• Forklift Certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
• Experience with a CMMS (Asset Essentials, JDE, Maximo, SAP, etc)
• Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Sense of urgency and ability to engage people in a positive manner
• Must be able to problem-solve and adjust to changing timelines
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime, particularly during harvest
• Ability to work in a team environment and perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company's values of exhibiting the highest quality standards in all endeavors

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Non-Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $26.78 to $41.86. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
