Join Our Team as a Tax Manager
Are you ready to lead and innovate within the complex world of tax accounting? We are seeking a Tax Manager to collaborate with our Senior Director of Tax in overseeing and managing our income, sales, use, and property taxes across multiple states. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our tax returns and related compliance reporting, while also analyzing tax situations and communicating strategies across all levels of the organization.
In this role, you will manage both direct and indirect tax functions to ensure full compliance with laws and regulations, minimizing risks and exposure. You'll play a key role in the design, maintenance, and implementation of our ERP system's tax-related aspects to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding product taxability across jurisdictions, providing tax advice, and implementing tax planning opportunities.
We are looking for a leader who is ready to develop and support our Indirect Tax staff, ensuring they are trained in tax research techniques and up-to-date with industry trends and changing laws. Your ability to work closely with the Senior Tax Director to make informed tax decisions will be invaluable, as will your participation in preparing and managing our departmental budget.
This role comes with supervisory responsibilities, requiring you to develop, coach, and mentor your team, conduct performance evaluations, and handle disciplinary actions as necessary.

What You'll Need
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
• MBA or Master's degree in Accounting plus 2 years of progressive related tax experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years progressive related tax experience to include supervisory experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
• MBA or Master's degree in Accounting plus 5 years of progressive related tax experience to include 2 years in a tax leadership role reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus 7 years tax experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• CPA license.
• Prior experience within the manufacturing or agricultural industry.
• Experience developing and implementing processes, procedures, systems and or standards.
• Comfortable and effective in the role of change agent.
• Management strength to provide motivational guidance and direction.
