The Cellar Worker III/Bottling Lead leads all bottling line operations, ensuring the highest level of quality, efficiency, and safety. This position requires knowledge of high-quality bottling and winemaking methods, and it requires advanced experience in operating the equipment of a modern bottling line. Outside of the bottling season, this position will assist with all cellar duties as assigned by the Cellar Master, such as wine movements, forklift driving, cellar sanitation, topping, etc. All employees are expected to conduct themselves with the highest degree of professionalism. What we will ask you to do:
• Clean and sanitize tanks, barrels, wine pumps, hoses, fittings, floors, and other winery equipment.
• Understand winery equipment, including different pump types and appropriate usage.
• Act as a team lead and leads other employees in daily tasks.
• Operate forklift with bin dumper attachments.
• Oversee the operation of all bottling equipment, ensuring the highest level of quality for all finished case goods.
• Collaborate with Lab, Winemaking, Supply team, and Facilities to troubleshoot bottling QC issues.
• Communicate all bottling QC issues to Cellar Master and Winemaking team.
• Ensure all botting SOPs and GMPs are followed.
What you will need:
• 5 years minimum cellar experience required, including 3 years of bottling experience.
• Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have intermediate English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in harmony with others.
• Must be a team player, be open to suggestions and able to collaborate with others.
• Spanish communication skills a plus.
• Forklift certified or the ability to be forklift, man lift, and CPR certified.
