Job Description:

Summary
This position is responsible for setting up and tearing down events, including routinely collecting dishes and glassware, resetting tables according to established service standards, supporting sales efforts of the Hospitality teams, and floating to support other positions in the winery if events are not scheduled.

Essential Duties:
1. Properly sets up and breaks down events in a timely manner.
2. Assists event staff/servers with various tasks during events, including bussing, bar back tasks, and
emptying garbage.
3. Stores and inspects all event furnishings & equipment for cleanliness and maintenance.
4. Maintains the standards of cleanliness and service established by the business.

Job Duties
•  Sets up event rooms and function areas with designated tables, chairs, and other equipment as specified by
group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards.
•  Breaks down and cleans space after event completion efficiently and safely.
•  Assists event service staff with delivering items to guests as well as maintaining service areas.
•  Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling waters, and being
alert to spills or other special needs throughout a guest's visit.
•  Removes all glassware, dishes, menus, etc. when a guest leaves.
•  Operates dishwasher and assists with polishing.
•  Assists with packing retail wine orders.
•  Cleans and sanitizes all dining surfaces when appropriate.
•  Sweeps under tables and throughout tasting spaces to ensure spaces are tidy.
•  Multitasks between all duties that may be needed to enhance the guest experience.
•  Assists guests to the best of their ability and communicates to managers when necessary.
•  Pays attention to and stays up to date on wine and food service etiquette.
•  Maintains upbeat, even attitude and composure.
•  Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
•  Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
•  Respectfully takes direction from managers.
•  Performs other job-related duties as requested (i.e., supporting tasting room or wine production warehouse).

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum one-year prior employment in restaurant environment is preferred. Experience working in a hospitality setting and/or catering is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations
Valid, current OLCC license. Valid, current Oregon Food Handler’s card.

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole units (wine products) and dollar units (for sales). Calculators are provided

Computer Skills
Has advanced basic computer job skills including logging on to systems, ability to communicate by email, ability to compose documents, enter database information, download forms, and preserve/backup important data. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
