Stone Edge Farm is looking for 2 interns to join our team for the 2025 harvest.
Stone Edge Farm is a small premier producer of Bordeaux-varietal wines located in Sonoma, CA. Our grapes are organically farmed in Sonoma Valley and the Moon Mountain District. Our winemaking style is based on the idea that wine should be paired harmoniously, and enjoyed, with food. We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable, self-motivated, and detailed oriented individuals who love wine. Work will include fruit sampling, sanitation of winery equipment, processing, juice movements, barrel work, lab work, additions, tastings, cleaning. Applicants should be prepared to perform physically demanding tasks, work long hours and weekends. As part of our mission, we strive to create a learning environment for the interns.
Duration: mid-August to mid-November
Qualifications:
- Ability to work safely
- Contribute to a positive work environment
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness and ability to stand and work for long periods of time
- Reliable transportation to and from work (due to our location, public transportation is not an option)
- Studies in viticulture, enology, or related sciences preferred
- Previous winery experience is strongly preferred, but we are looking for anyone passionate about getting into winemaking
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Must be able to lawfully work in the USA. A J-1 visa must be secured by individuals without U.S. citizenship (please check caep.org for more details)
Salary is $25 / hour. Time and a half for overtime. $500 monthly stipend for housing
