Job Description:

Outpost Wines is hiring a Harvest Cellar Hand for the 2025 season.

Outpost is a small winery located on Howell Mountain in Angwin, CA. We mostly make Cabernet. We also make some Zinfandel, Grenache, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc.

Our crush pad is outside, and we work hard in all types of weather. During the peak of harvest, the Harvest Cellar Hand is expected to labor outside 6 days per week, up to 12 hrs per day.

Candidate must have reliable transportation and be available to work overtime/weekends. Candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, work on their feet all day, and be able to climb ladders and stairs. Candidate must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and be able to work in high stress and fast-paced environments.

The main responsibilities of a Harvest Cellar Hand are cleaning (lots of pressure washing) and helping to process fruit. Depending on experience and proven capabilities, other vineyard and cellar duties may be assigned as well.

Lunch and snacks are provided daily. The internship will run approximately from September through Thanksgiving; the official end date will depend on performance and the vintage. We do not offer housing or housing assistance.
