Job Description:

Our team at Duckhorn Vineyards is looking for a dedicated Production Assistant to join the team! The Production Assistant is responsible for supporting winemaking, with additional support to the cellar, laboratory, and facilities teams as needed. The position requires an understanding of winemaking to ensure the highest quality standards are always upheld. Additionally, the position requires a focused attention to detail, a passion for organization, and a proactive desire to help wherever needed.

What we will ask you to do:
•  Schedule and coordinate shipping, including bulk wine tankers, full and empty barrels, and lees totes. Create and process BOLs for all shipments.
•  Maintain wine inventories, including full barrel inventory, tank inventory, and finished goods library inventory.
•  Prepares monthly reports, including 702 compliance report and California Agricultural Sulfur Use report.
•  Coordinate the grape scale certification in preparation for harvest, harvest equipment rentals and harvest lunches.
•  Perform and calculate harvest additions and inoculations.
•  Support winemaking during bottling, including daily case counts, QC on the bottling line, and organizing relevant paperwork and packaging supplies.
•  Maintain various supply inventories, including cellar and winemaking supplies, as well as breakroom, office, and cleaning supplies. Reorder and stock supplies as necessary.
•  Complete expense reports and process invoices; ensure that correct account codes are used and required signatures are obtained.

What you will need:
•  Bachelor’s degree, college level coursework in Enology, Viticulture, or related field.
•  Previous experience in winery production.
•  Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
•  NAV experience a plus.
•  Good written and verbal communication skills.
•  Detail oriented and organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize.
•  Creative and flexible team player with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
