Rutherford Ranch Winery is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repair, modification, and preventive maintenance tasks on buildings, facilities, equipment, and systems. The Maintenance Technician will conduct equipment overhauls following manufacturer specifications and drawings, as well as interpret drawings and specifications. This position will also conduct equipment and systems installations accordingly and monitor/supervise contractors for specification compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General:
• Performs repair, modification, and preventive maintenance tasks on buildings, facilities, equipment, and systems.
• Knowledge of proper hand tool and power tool use and safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines related to: electrical equipment, high-energy systems, confined spaces, rotating machinery, and handling hazardous materials.
• Conduct tasks related to construction trades, such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Demonstrate Skills in complex mechanical system troubleshooting and repair.
• Demonstrate skills in electrical systems diagnosis and repair.
• Conduct instrument calibration.
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
• Knowledge required: High School diploma of equivalent.
• Related Experience: 5+ years
• Specific Skills required: Satisfactory participation in an advanced training or apprenticeship course in a skilled trade related field either electrical or mechanical.
• Certification, license, and/or other special requirements: Valid California driver’s license.
Skills:
• Strong English communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to abide by, enforce, and promote company safety standards.
• Ability to manage and prioritize projects under tight time constraints.
• Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft operating systems and Office products.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions: work well under pressure and time limits.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other staff members, vendors, customers, government agencies/personnel, and/or the general public.

Physical:
• Able to sit on an occasional basis.
• Able to stand or walk on a constant basis.
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl on a frequent basis.
• Able to climb and safely balance on ladder.
• Able to work overhead on an occasional basis.
• Able to lift items weighing up to 70 lbs on an occasional basis. This may include lifts from floor level.
• Able to carry or operate tools weighing up to 125 lbs on an occasional basis.
• Able to tolerate repetitive motions including hand tool use on a frequent basis. Use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
• Able to sustain a fast workplace, meet deadlines, and tolerate frequent interruptions and changes in routine.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Able to tolerate environmental exposures typical in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to tolerate environmental exposures including heat, cold, sun, rain, and wind.
