Position Title: Packaging Lead - PM Shift
Department: Packaging
Location: Tualatin Brewery
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Reports to: Packaging Team Manager
Worker Category: Full-Time
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt

Position Summary: The Packaging Lead at Brew Dr. Kombucha collaborates with other packaging team members to ensure the canning or bottling lines run efficiently. The lead also supports and guides the crew to ensure work is on track to achieve production goals and other assigned tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensure the team follows safety guidelines, GMPs, and SOPs.
Quality Control - continuously check for accuracy of bottled-on dates, expiration dates, lot numbers, label height, etc.
Check and record centerlines and CIL completion every morning and provide details to the morning DDS meeting.
Oversee the team to ensure that all SOPs, QA/QC parameters, GMP, and general facility processes are organized and adhered to.
Assist the team and other team leaders with daily tasks, including routine cleaning, organizing, sanitation, etc.
Assist in training new workers and full-time packaging operators.
Delegate tasks to team members as needed.
Keep track of bottling numbers, logging them at the end of the day.
Oversee the team and deal with work situations as they arise, along with the Packaging Team Manager and Director.
Qualifications & Experience:

1+ years of supervisor or lead experience
3+ years of production or packaging line operation experience.
Previous food or beverage production experience is a plus
Collaborative attitude and a team mentality
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Ability to absorb and interpret explicit production directives throughout the day
Good communicator with leadership skills

Physical Requirements:

Be able to stand for long periods, 3-4 hours, continuously
Frequently lift 50 lbs, using proper lifting techniques

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the worker may be exposed to inside environmental conditions, hot fluids, pressurized vessels and transfer lines, strong odors, chemicals, noise levels above 85 decibels, confined spaces, refrigerated gases, powered industrial trucks, and moving machinery.
