Greetings! Young Inglewood Vineyards seeks a brilliant, motivated, and multi-skilled renaissance person to join our dynamic, tight-knit team. The magic of winegrowing is as much about people and the messages they communicate as it is about the soil and light in which our vines live. We're searching for an Estate Manager who is more than just a steward of our estate — we’re looking for a storyteller, a connector, and a builder of lasting relationships. If you have the vision to align the unique elegance of our wines with a forward-thinking sales strategy, we want to hear from you.
As the Estate Manager, you will be the beating heart of our family-owned and -operated estate winery and vineyard. This is not simply a sales role — it’s an opportunity to craft meaningful connections between our wines and the people who appreciate them most. You will lead with curiosity and creativity, sharing the specialness of our classic estate with visitors as though they are guests in our home. The role requires you to be both discerning tactician and gracious host, thoughtfully balancing day-to-day estate operations with big-picture reasoning. Your mission: to execute our direct-to-consumer (DTC) strategy, foster relationships with our clients, establish a referral network that will connect our boutique winery to a global audience, and manage outsourced teams all with the aim of maintaining the sustainability of our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cultivate Lasting Relationships
• Conduct/host thoughtful, immersive tastings that create deep connections between clients and the estate
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and wine enthusiasts through regular outreach
• Spearhead a referral program that feels personal, authentic, and aligned with our luxury ethos both locally and around the country
Drive Sales Through Storytelling and Strategy
• Be the face of our estate wines — connect our story with discerning customers in both the tasting room and beyond
• Collaborate with & manage our team and outsourced marketing managers to oversee DTC and distributor sales, mindful of customer experience
• Expand our wine club and DTC sales channels with innovative ideas and a relationship-driven approach
Foster a Culture of Excellence
• Prioritize high quality: from taking inventory to running winery sales, you will apply attention to detail to every aspect of our business
• Inspire excellence in outsourced teams by articulating a clear vision and providing thoughtful feedback
• Act as the nucleus among outsourced sales, marketing, and DTC managers; ensure seamless collaboration to maintain a sustainable business
Be Present, Thoughtful, Impactful
• Lead tastings with a hospitality-first mindset — create unforgettable moments for every visitor
• Listen to clients, understand their preferences, and create bespoke experiences that go beyond expectations
• Track client interactions and sales performance with precision; use these insights to inform strategy and refine protocols
Innovate and Iterate
• Build a meaningful community around our winery, both in DTC and trade
• Identify opportunities to strengthen our DTC channels and make visitor experience a driver of lifelong brand loyalty
• Stay curious — always look for ways to connect new ideas, industry insights, and customer feedback into actionable strategies
ABOUT YOU
You’re a realistic optimist who sees every interaction as a chance to create value. You think big and are also meticulous; your attention to detail is unwavering. You’re energized by human connection and know how to blend creativity with practicality to deliver real results. You love the idea of wearing many hats — from pouring a Reserve tasting to polishing glasses to developing a referral strategy that redefines the norm. You’re not just looking for a job; you’re looking to create something lasting.
Experience
• Proven track record in luxury sales, hospitality, or client relationship management (preferably in wine or another luxury market)
• A storyteller’s ability to connect a product’s heritage and craft to a client’s personal values
• Experience managing outsourced teams, providing strategic direction, and ensuring alignment across sales, marketing, and DTC initiatives
• A deep understanding of DTC channels and how they intersect with an exceptional in-person client experience
• Strong organizational skills — you balance big-picture strategy with operational precision
Values
• Strong Work Ethic: you want to apply the time and energy it takes to do the job thoroughly and correctly, from mundane tasks to high-level planning
• Curiosity: you listen before you speak and seek to understand before making a recommendation
• Empathy: you treat clients like family and see every interaction as an opportunity to deepen connection
• Accountability: you own outcomes, take feedback seriously, and always ask, "How can I do better?"
• Creativity: you’re not afraid to challenge norms if it leads to better experiences for our clients and community
WHAT TO EXPECT
• Autonomy w/ Support: execute goals with guidance from our leadership and collaboration with our team while bringing your unique style to the role
• Impact-Driven Work: the ideas you bring to life will directly impact the growth and legacy of Young Inglewood Vineyards
• Be a Brand Ambassador: become a face of the company both in Napa Valley and while representing YI in the market
• A Space to Create: from designing new client experiences to building a modern referral program, this is your chance to create something meaningful
