We are thrilled to announce our relocation from our downtown Napa Tasting Lounge to our beautiful new location in Oakville! Mark Herold Wines is an ultra-boutique winery known for its exclusive, high-quality wines, meticulously sourced from some of Napa Valley's most sought-after vineyards. Crafted by Mark Herold, one of Napa’s pioneering cult Cabernet producers, our wines have been celebrated for their delicate balance of power and elegance for decades.


Our passion lies in sharing our wines and our 'eclectic luxury' culture with clients and industry colleagues. We focus on uplifting and supporting each other, creating a community where everyone can achieve the highest realm of success. As we prepare to launch Mark Herold Wines 2.0 in early 2025, we are seeking a Hospitality Coordinator to join our dynamic tight-knit team. This role will be crucial in enhancing and growing our hospitality program during this exciting transition.


POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary functions include hosting educational tastings in the tasting room, selling wine and acting as the outreach ambassador developing, tracking, and executing an outreach and referral program. Additionally, this role involves assisting management with tasks essential for ensuring the smooth operation of the tasting room and all direct-to-consumer sales channels. Successful candidates will operate with optimism and demonstrate exceptional customer service, professionalism, attention to detail, and timely execution. This position is vital in increasing tasting room sales and attracting, building, and maintaining a loyal customer base for Mark Herold Wines.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasting Room
Provide an engaging and educational experience for visitors.
Collect guest information to strengthen our relationships with customers and expand our database.
Process orders efficiently.
Display and restock wine and retail items.
Count and maintain inventory.
Clean dishware and ensure the facility remains tidy.

Wine Club
Help with administrative tasks, prepare for club events, and assist with club runs as needed.


Outreach
Actively cultivate and maintain partnerships with a variety of businesses, including hotels, resorts, wineries, restaurants, transportation services, and other related establishments, to enhance customer traffic and boost sales.


REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
At least 3 years of experience in a hospitality-driven environment.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Passion for hospitality, storytelling, and genuinely connecting with guests.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of people across all direct-to-consumer channels.
Versatile, flexible, and willing to work enthusiastically within constantly changing priorities.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to multitask and follow up effectively.
High proficiency in converting interest into sales and club memberships.
Eagerness and ability to learn about wines, share the winery’s story, provide information about the winemaker’s background, and answer visitor questions.
Experience with Wine Direct is a plus.
Proficient in computer skills, including Word, Excel, and CRM software.
Familiarity with Google Suite, including Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Gmail.
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
Availability to work weekends or evenings as needed.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be 21 years of age or older.



COMPENSATION:
Hourly pay $26-32, DOE + gratuities and wine club sales incentive.
Health, dental and vision package.

Annual year-end bonus award based on objective and subjective criteria. Candidate will be eligible for an annual bonus on individual qualitative goals, based on company financial achievement.
