Job Description
The Bionic Wines team is a close-knit collection of talent, and each member needs to wear several hats. The current opportunity will require an outgoing and self-motivated hospitality professional to excel in trade sales and customer relations, be well-organized, self-manage their daily workload, be comfortable making presentations to groups, a skilled educator who enjoys work travel, has knowledge of the three-tier system, and reside in the Walla Walla Valley.
Responsibilities
• Assist with direct-to-consumer sales and customer relationship management
• Cultivates and nurtures partnerships with our distribution network, ensuring seamless collaboration with our trade partners
• Handle all communications and logistics with guests visiting Bionic Wines including guiding vineyard tours and hosting tastings
• Speak publicly telling the Bionic Wines story, convey the company philosophy, andeducate about the Walla Walla Valley
• Organize logistics and travel for major wine events
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience in wine sales, with a passion for the craft
• Bachelor's degree preferred, coupled with advanced knowledge of marketing in the wine world Certification as a CMSA Advanced Sommelier or equivalent a bonus
• Strong storytelling ability and proven ability to educate and promote sales
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and negotiating
• Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
• Able to travel roughly 20% of the expected workload and be available for evening and weekend work as needed
• Have an extensive knowledge of the wine industry and specifically the fine wine category
• Proficiency with basic computer software, including Google Drive and Microsoft platforms
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Minimum 21 years of age
Physical Qualifications
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Lift and carry 50 pounds
Requirements
• Proven experience as a hospitality driven wine professional
• Possess a solutions-based approach and a willingness to learn
• Advanced knowledge of the world of wine. Sommelier training a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, budgeting, CRM practices and knowledge of the wine industry
• A hospitality driven approach to guest and vendor relations
• Desire to assist with winery tasks as needed
• Team player who collaborates with coworkers
• Social media experience a plus
