Position Summary:
Our Housekeeper & Estate Steward is a supremely important support role that helps drive the overall success of our estate operations. This role is tasked with not only adhering to, but also elevating our aesthetic standards across the estate and its operations. In addition to overall housekeeping of the estate, this role has the opportunity to work closely with the hospitality team by assisting tasting room operations. Buffing glassware, setting up tastings, etc., are all ways in which this role will help lend efficiency to hospitality operations. As such, this role is entitled to communal sales commissions. Overall, this role is an integral part of our hospitality team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Overall cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of the entire winery compound in adherence with our standards.
• Spearhead and track inventory of estate cleaning products and materials.
• Assist hospitality team with the buffing of glassware and setting up/breaking down of tastings, prepping hospitality spaces for business day.
• Work with Director to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly “deep-clean” projects.
• Coordinate with Estate Groundskeeping team to ensure veranda and other outside hospitality spaces are being routinely cleaned and maintained.
• Replenish drinks, snacks, and pastries as needed.
• Assist hospitality team as assigned.
• Assist with on-site events.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma.
• 2+ years in a similar role at a hospitality driven luxury property, e.g. winery, hotel, etc.
• Intimate knowledge of various cleaning and estate maintenance products.
• Knowledge and demonstrated adherence to aesthetic standards of luxury properties.
• Ideal candidate possesses an ability to self-manage, take ownership/accountability of a property, and is very team oriented. Also possesses very high level of organizational skill.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.
• Must be willing and available to work weekends, holidays, and some nights as assigned.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
• Full body mobility: This is an active job where you’ll be expected to walk, stand, kneel, lift, etc. for long periods of time.
• Able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be fluent in English.
